Welcome to my Wellness Corner
Hey everyone, and welcome to my little corner of the internet! I'm beyond excited for us to get to know each other as we embark on this wellness journey together.
My path to wellness began during my sophomore year of college, when I started my first semester of Nursing school. That semester was a real eye-opener for me. I was shocked to see how many patients were in the hospital due to preventable chronic diseases. It became clear that the lack of knowledge about healthy living was a huge issue—and that’s when I knew I wanted to do more than care for people once they were already sick. (Don’t get me wrong, though—caring for the sick is incredibly important work and our bed-side nurses do not get enough credit!)
After graduating from nursing school, I jumped straight into working in the hospital, but this time I worked with sick little babies. It was heartbreaking to see some of them there because of things out of anyone’s control, but it was equally frustrating to see how many were admitted due to preventable issues, often tied to decisions their parents made.
As I worked with families and helped new mothers care for their babies and themselves postpartum, I began to realize something profound: the root cause of poor health is often a lack of information. Many people don’t like how they feel, but they don’t know where to start in making a change. I wanted to help people not just improve their health, but give them the tools they need to make lasting, positive changes that could transform their lives.
But here’s the challenge: giving people the tools to improve their health is one thing, but making it manageable for busy moms or someone working 80-hour weeks is another! That’s exactly why I became a nurse coach and launched this business—to walk alongside people and help them incorporate small, sustainable changes into their lives that, over time, create lasting transformation.
No one wants to live with chronic disease, and yet about 60% of adults in the U.S. live with at least one. The good news is that most of these diseases are preventable with simple lifestyle changes. The key is finding ways to make those changes work in the real world—where time is limited and life is busy. With a little bit of intention and direction, it’s entirely possible to live a healthier, more vibrant life.
My goal is to support and guide anyone who’s ready to take control of their health. I’m here to encourage you, provide resources, and hold you accountable so that you can live your healthiest life possible—no matter what your schedule looks like.
Thanks for being here, and I can’t wait to join you on your journey toward a healthier, happier you!
